Time Is the Only Treasure

On an island where every gift is a trade, and time runs faster than the world beyond its shores, a young aeronaut and a fae princess find each other, or maybe fate crossed their paths for a purpose.

Aden & Kira · bonus finale song & video · watch on YouTube

Time is the only treasure
There is no way to measure
What you will give
What you will trade
To go back and live
One single day

Time
What will you do?
When those second chances
Never come true?

Days pass by the hour
Years fade like a flower
There's no going back
Tomorrow's unknown
Be in the moment
Before it is gone

Time why can't you see
I traded my chances
So foolishly

Spending all my days
Hoping you would return
Wishing on lost dreams
Tell me, when will I learn?

Time how can it be?
Forever passing by, for eternity
If only I had known
You were waiting here for me
Oh time...

What I would do if I had time
When all I need is time

Orphaned at a young age, Aden survived on the streets of Airovale, just out of prison for stealing food, he joined a fleet of zeppelins and set out to find fortune. Fate and misfortune brought him to Canyon Myst where he met Kira, daughter of the Fae Elder. Kira was raised to keep an old law, but her rebellious spirit influenced her to take Aden to forbidden ruins where secrets were revealed.

Among the moss-covered stones and waterfalls of Canyon Myst, they discover a love neither of them can afford. Choosing a destiny of new love, the consequences that followed became life or death for them both. Their only hope was escape from execution, and a future destined in the past.

“Time Is the Only Treasure” is a bonus song on the Airovale soundtrack, featuring flamenco and lead guitar that rises into a duet of two voices.

Airovale — Frequently Asked Questions About the Book

Is the Airovale ebook the same story as the paperback or audiobook?

Yes — the story content is identical across all three formats. The only difference is the chapter illustrations, which appear in the ebook and paperback but not the audiobook.

Is Airovale worth reading if I already watched the episodes?

Absolutely. The video episodes present a glimpse of the scenery set to the soundtrack's emotional journey, while the book is where the characters' thoughts and dialogue come through — the full interior experience of the story.

Is Airovale appropriate for teens?

Airovale is appropriate for teens ages 16+. The content touches on mature themes including dueling, the penalty of death, greed, immortality, and coming-of-age young adult romance.

How much romance content is in Airovale?

The romance in Airovale is written at a young adult level, with no graphic content beyond a few kisses. It centers on the two main characters as their journey to a forbidden ruin reveals ancient secrets about the island they inhabit, and their relationship grows into love and a decision to be together.

Is there a content warning or spice level for Airovale?

No warning needed. Airovale is a romantic adventure story, safe for readers ages 16 and up, with no graphic moments beyond a kiss.

Is Airovale a series or a standalone book?

Airovale is a series. The first book introduces the story, and additional books — two or more to complete the arc — are currently in development.

Is there a comparable story to Airovale?

Not exactly. Steampunk fantasy with time travel exists, and fantasy with fae exists, but few stories combine both. The closest comparisons are Carnival Row (Amazon Prime Video) or The Anubis Gates (Tim Powers) — though Airovale is a wholly original fantasy world with no historical setting.

Is Airovale a book or a movie?

Primarily, Airovale is a story told through three lenses: book, video, and music. The website and companion channel (Roku TV) present short cinematic episodes alongside a complete original soundtrack, while the book is the deepest way to experience the full story — the center of the Airovale experience.

Questions

About the song & video

What is “Time Is the Only Treasure”?

It is a bonus song and video from the world of Airovale, made as the grand finale of the first novel. In four minutes it follows Aden and Kira from his first days on the streets of Airovale to their meeting on Canyon Myst, the forbidden ruins they explore, the duel, her rescue of him from the jail, and their escape. There is no dialogue, only their actions and the song, where flamenco and lead guitar rise into a duet of two voices.

Is there a version made for phones?

Yes. On TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook there is a vertical cut that opens upright and then turns onto its side as the story begins: turn your phone when the picture turns. This page and YouTube carry the full widescreen cut, so it plays properly full screen on any device.

Who are Aden and Kira?

Aden is a gaunt young aeronaut hunter, orphaned young and raised on the streets of Airovale, who joins a fleet of zeppelins to find his fortune. Kira is the daughter of the Fae Elder, a fae princess raised to keep an old law, whose rebellious spirit leads her to show Aden the forbidden ruins. Meet them on the Aden and Kira character pages.

Where does the story take place, and what is the Law of Exchange?

Canyon Myst is an enchanted island where the Law of Exchange reigns supreme: every gift must be repaid, and time runs faster than in the world beyond its shores. Read more about the Law of Exchange.

Is this song part of the Airovale soundtrack?

Yes, as a bonus. The ten numbered tracks of the original soundtrack live in the soundtrack section, and “Time Is the Only Treasure” sits beside them as a bonus song and video. The video covers the entire song from the first guitar note to the last line, so watching it is listening to it.

Do I need to read the book or watch the episodes first?

No. The video works as a finale for readers of the novel and as a wordless, song-driven introduction for newcomers. It does show how Aden and Kira's story unfolds, so if you would rather discover it on the page first, start with the novel, and the free episodes fill in everything between the moments you see here.

Where can I read, watch, or listen to more Airovale?

The complete series streams free on the watch page and on Roku through the Airovale TV channel. The novel is available as a paperback and eBook, and as an audiobook of nearly four hours.

Where else can I watch it?

The widescreen version above is also on the official Airovale YouTube channel. The vertical version lives on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. This page is the home of the full experience, with the story, the lyrics, and everything that comes next.
